Missile Ban Working Group

The missile ban working group is laying the groundwork to develop a world wide missile ban. The answer to the missile threat is not to weaponize space but to ban all missiles and their lethal nuclear payloads.

A great presentation from Jurgen Scheffran from the Middle Powers Initiative forum in Dublin, March 26-28, 2008. Missile "defense" is really "offense"? View the PDF of the slideshow Banning Ballistic Missiles?— Missile Control for a Nuclear-Weapon-Free World

Reports

Beyond Missile Defense (October 2002)
This report is particularly timely in acknowledging the insidious arms race that has arisen in the wake of the Cold War. Given the prevailing belief that possessing a stockpile of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles will add to a country's security by deterring a nuclear attack, many states currently own or are trying to acquire these weapons. However, the proliferation of missiles and nuclear weapons only intensifies the danger and increases the odds that they will be used. The report includes a preface by UN Undersecretary General on Disarmament, Jayantha Dhanapala.
