Abolition 2000 is a network bringing together organisations that agree a nuclear weapons free world is not only necessary, it is possible. As all nuclear armed countries are planning to upgrade their nuclear weapons systems at a cost of many billions of dollars, at the same time the majority of countries in the world are calling for negotiations in 2017 on a new treaty to prohibit nuclear weapons.
Now is a great time to join the Abolition 2000 Annual General Meeting.
Timing: The meeting will take place in the afternoon of 29 September (around 13:00) and continue on the morning of 30 September. It will end in time for participants to join the IPB Congress events.
Location: Technical University in Berlin.
There will be a number of events taking place around the IPB World Congress, including international speakers, workshops, cultural events and a youth gathering. So, not only is this a good time to connect with friends and colleagues old and new at the Abolition 2000 meeting, it is also a great opportunity to meet and discuss with some of the many hundreds of participants in the IPB World Congress.
